Hello everyone! We hope you've been all well during these unpredictable times.
Thank you again for your patience.
The moment you've all been waiting for is here!
Serendipity Chorus Battle 3 - Final Results!
To start, we'd like to apologize for the delays, and share some insight into why we've taken so long.
As previously mentioned, when COVID-19 came in full force - several SCB staff members were heavily affected. A handful of our judges and organizers are employed under critical infrastructure sectors (jobs in fields essential to society / the economy), and being in those fields, were called to respond and handle the emergencies COVID brought on. Healthcare, communications, food & safety to name a few -- many of us got pulled into critical roles and work to assist those around us. In some cases, we're still working through those critical states.
While we could have relegated the final results to someone else on the team - it's much easier said than done. Through this pandemic, everyone on the SCB staff had suffered some sort of loss. Some faced turbulent situations that, well ... are still being worked through, frankly. It's been difficult to reconvene or find any throughput / energy left over to bring SCB to it's conclusion in a timely matter. No matter how much we wanted these results to come out months ago.
Despite all that, we do apologize for the delays. And for making promises we were not able to keep. If it wasn't clear above - the pandemic has been rough on everyone.
Though this isn't how we imagined this season to end, we're glad to finally bring you these results.
So again - thank you for participating. Thank you for watching.
Stay safe, and may you have a better 2021 ahead of you.
To all the participating teams,
Thank you for all your wonderful work! As SCB's founder and organizer, it never ceases to amaze me with just how wonderful, dedicated, and awe-inspiring every season's crop of entries are. Everyone puts in such love and hardwork into their videos, and it shows. It's been an honor to host a scene for everyone to share their creative works. I've said it plenty times before but I'll say it again - SCB wouldn't be what it is today without you - the participants. So thank you! We look forward to what you'll come up with beyond our little corner of the internet. c:
That's it for the ending notes. Onwards - to the results!
